Catering (how it works)
With Fine Dining Solutions catering services you'll receive the personalized treatment and gourmet service that you could only expect in a "fine dining" restaurant. With our extensive experience in some of the best restaurants in the DC metro area (Restaurant Eve, Maestro, Butterfield 9 – just to name a few) your event will play out beautifully, personalized to your tastes – all in the comfort of your own home.
Through a personal assessment/kitchen inspection, we'll learn about your party theme preferences to develop your Fine Dining Solutions Catering Menu Proposal, essentially a personalized "Menu" from which to choose your dishes for your special event. The proposal is based on our initial event discussion and ingredient availability. To get a better idea of the types of dishes that we propose to our clients, please visit our fall, winter, spring or summer menu pages – a yearly highlight of our popular client dishes.
For all of our chef services, we shop at only the best grocery and small market purveyors in the DC metro area – Balducci's, Whole Foods, Mom: My Organic Market, M. Slavin & Son's and a few select small markets. Similar to a farm-to-table relationship, we have cultivated a grocer-to-client relationship. Our relationships with store managers, produce managers and meat managers will help bring you the best ingredients and products that each store carries. Our
services exclusively provide
fine dining restaurant quality dishes, completely made from scratch, therefore we only cater to smaller, more intimate gatherings. General Catering Pricing
Cocktail Party for 20
A cocktail party for 20 guests with a variety (8-10) of seasonal hot and cold hor d'oeuvres.
- $325 + Groceries: Prepared, packaged & left for you to serve your guests in your home
- $975 + Groceries: Prepared & served with waitstaff during a 2-hour cocktail party in your home
Dinner Party Service
An intimate, 3-course seated dinner party in the comfort of your home. Includes wait staff, seated amusé, intermezzo (if 5 or more courses), coffee/cordial service with petit fours and a delicate washing of your servingware. If your event is for a special birthday or anniversary an individual cake can be provided at no additional charge.
- Dinner for 8: $675 + Groceries ($100/Each Additional Guest + Groceries)
Buffet Service
Enjoy an elegant, 3-course buffet service for larger dinner parties in your home. Includes wait staff, coffee & cordial service with a plate of petit fours for after the dinner with a delicate washing of your servingware. If your event is for a special birthday or anniversary an individual cake can be provided at no additional charge.
You also welcome to personalize your service even more by adding one or more of these special services:
- Add additional courses to your special event;
- Have a wine specialist suggest and match wines to your menu;
- Add a cocktail hour/pass hor d'oeuvres before your event while guests arrive.
